You have to buy your books on the website, whether that is Barnes & Noble or Amazon. You cannot purchase books from within the nook or Kindle apps on your Apple device. This is Apple's issue, they want 30% of the selling price. So of course, companies like Barnes & Noble and Amazon do

Got the nook app and it's working great. The pause between pages takes a little getting used to, but it's no big deal. This is an example of very good development, the app is equally accessible on the 2 top mobile platforms. One difference is that on IOS, the app uses voiceover to read the text
