search screen had no messages, reloading gmail showed all of my

If your service provider offered a webmail client like Squirrelmail, Cube or
whatever; you could do it easier that way.

server the only solution I found was to install thunderbird on your PC or on
your Mac if you have one and delete the messages with the email client. I
found no other way to do a server delete.
