As far is Siri not working, I find it on the lock screen when I call her name
and say hey Siri, it does a funny sound. But when it unlocks, Siri works just
fine for me. However there was one time when Siri wasn’t working at all, and
what I did was to reboot my phone and everything was fine

Take a look in Voice Feedback in Siri settings, in Settings. It should be on
Always. (There are two other options. Control with Ring Switch, and
