I noticed in the connection dialog there is an entry called "Encryption". Is
this something that can be enabled now?
Currently I have an ssh server encrypting the data from the VNC connection. I'd
like to be able to have VNC do the encryption instead.
If it can be enabled now how do you do it?

Apologies if this question has been asked before, but
can VNC support true multihead or dualhead
multimonitor desktops under XP? I'm not talking about
the spanned desktops where Windows still "sees" a
single Display device. I'm talking about the native
multihead mode where applications maximize
Also, most of the "binary" versions of GCC for HP-UX are not compiled on
11.11 - they are compiled on 11.00 and are not fully compatible with
11.11.

Joseph,
Given that you had to install GCC in order to get the runtime library, and
that the problem appears to be that none of the parameters or loggers are
being initialised, I'd say this looks like a library compatibility issue.
We should be linking the binaries statically to the GCC libraries (
Joseph,
The HP-UX binaries we provide are built & tested on HP-UX 11.00 but as far
as we're aware they should also run on 11.11. What is your command-line to
vncviewer?
Can you try running:
vncviewer --help
And sending me the output?
Cheers,

I'm trying to setup VNC on an HPUX machine. The browser viewer
approach works letting me connect to a windows machine running
the VNC server. I'm having trouble using vncviewer, or setting up
vncserver on the hpux machine.
I'm running the following version of hpux
% uname -a
HP-UX hostname B.11.11

Paul,
If you're getting error 10061, that means that the computer you are actually
connecting to responded to reject the connection. This might be because the
VNC Server isn't running, or because you're connecting to the wrong
computer.
Given that you're also seeing "Connection rejected by user"
Paul:
Was the server installed as a service? If not, you need to do that.

My setup is VNC server on WinXP, VNC viewer on Linux.

Adrian,
In general, if you think that the GPL applies to a program that is not being
distributed according to its provisions, you should inform the copyright
holders. VNC 3.3.4-3.3.7 contain Copyright RealVNC Ltd. code, for example,
and VNC 4.x are Copyright RealVNC Ltd.

Hi,
Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but what would the steps be if I
suspected a product of violating the VNC GPL?
