Can you expand on the "provide the RemapKeys" option? I've
looked through all the option settings in 4.1.1 that I can find, and
googled the obvious queries and can't find any information about
remapping keys (other than f8) in VNC.

Umm, hopefully you changed the string "myusername" to whatever user you
actually wanted to have the server run as?
Note that you must also have run the vncserver at least once as that
user, so that the password gets set and the directory gets created.

Another data point. Sometimes this happens on machines that hav multipl
vncserver sessions, but they don't all necessarily exit, I've seen one
die and the others stay running.
