Fax not connecting to moden

At work we send faxes via a G5 iMac running OS 10.5.6. The reason that we are using OS 10.5.6/7 is that axing would not work with OS 10.5.8. Has that been fixed? This week we continually get an error message telling us that the faxes are not connecting to the modem. Suggestions? Any

It's been my experience that the reality doesn't match what they claim are supported platforms. I want to give my niece an old G4 PPC Powerbook running Leopard and one of these devices she can top up with credit at her leisure. Anyone know which brand works with this config from experience?

Sorry I didn't mention the download speeds. The lady I helped lives in Thornlie and it seems that she is getting around 800bps download the couple of times I checked it. VividWireless claim much higher speeds if close to one of their towers. Hard to find a tower location map anywhere.

Hi Stephen, Ok, something is preventing a complete startup / login. In System Preferences Accounts Login Items, do you have any non-apple 'helpers' or apps opening automatically when you log in … hidden (tick in box) or showing (no tick in box)? Try starting up in Safe Boot/ Safe Mode/
