Did you uninstall Intego Antispam by using the 'Uninstall' function on the
Intego Installer, when you dumped Intego Antispam?
Sounds like it has left this if you did.
You need it out of your Login Items if you are no longing using the software.

At work we send faxes via a G5 iMac running OS 10.5.6. The reason
that we are using OS 10.5.6/7 is that axing would not work with OS
10.5.8. Has that been fixed?
This week we continually get an error message telling us that the
faxes are not connecting to the modem. Suggestions?

Thanks to the WAMUGER who told me about the Clear ket on the old
keyboards keypad to activate the keypad with VMWare Fusion.
This does not work work the aluminium keyboard keypads. What does?

I had been using MacSpeech Dictate v1.5.8 using a usb microphone for a few
months before I installed Mac OS 10.6.3 combo update, and had been using a
Bluetooth Apple keyboard for a few weeks.
MacSpeech and the key board seem to be error-ridden since I installed OS

I looked at Vivid Wireless recently and their website displays a coverage map
based on your location.
My area in Jane Brook did not look good !!

Ok, something is preventing a complete startup / login. In System Preferences
Accounts Login Items, do you have any non-apple 'helpers' or apps opening
automatically when you log in … hidden (tick in box) or showing (no tick in
box)?
Try starting up in Safe Boot/ Safe Mode/
Try starting in safe boot by holding the shift key on startup
If it starts properly then, then you will feel relieved but the
problem will not be resolved.
Try running disk warrior to fix any disk directory probs that may
affect the startup.

If it was mine I would be taking out the HDD while the back was off.

in my haste I purchased a second hand 27 acer monitor thinking I was
getting a donated G5. That turned out to be a G4/800 that won't run
leopard so now I'm back to looking at options such as mac mini or
tower machine
