Hello Wamuggians
my wife received the email below I would like to confirm whether it
could be spam/malicious? She did try to download a weather app from
the app store the previous night for her iPhone 4S, which she
cancelled as it was taking a long time did not seem to be behaving
Hi Alex,
Apple are very chatty lately, I've been receiving this email also.
You can verify your email address by logging in at http://appleid.apple.com/ by
manually typing that address into your web browser, rather than clicking the
link in the email.
Also read the support article below,
Just for something different,…. with all the spam come through lately, you
gotta love the from address on this one,….
(I took out part of the server address and click link just for safety)
If the email didn't warn you, then you'd hope the from address would,…hehe :)
Kind regards
Daniel

wizard technician to replace it. I think a
Hi Jennifer,
Just a very quick reply as heading out to meet with a client (if I don't get
blown away in this terrible weather we are experiencing down south).
Do you have any external drives attached to your iMac when you startup and
experience the screen freezes?
If so: Unmount the external
Hi Jennifer
Sorry to hear it's still doing the same. I've sent you an off list email as
well.
But yes, as Ronni mentioned, try running it without anything externally plugged
in (bar keyboard and mouse). Run that and see how goes.
But at a guess I'd probably think it may be hardware related as
Thank you everyone. That gives me quite a few things to work on during
this stormy day. I think it might be a couple of days before I can report
back from the various things to try, but I will do them all and see what
happens.
Don't get blown away - at least not literally!
Regards,
Jennifer
