There was some discussion on this list in May of last year about the Epson
Workforce range of printers and the fact that they were supposedly much more
economical in terms of consumables.
If anybody went on to buy one of these, I'd be interested to hear how they went.

Basically it looks up where you are, and then you can browse restaurants,

System Preferences Keyboard and Mouse Trackpad, and 'uncheck' Ignore
accidental trackpad input'.
That has solved this issue for a lot of people with the trackpad not

I can't answer this question specifically, but I've just upgraded from a 3G to
a 4 today. Foolishly, I had previously upgraded the 3G to iOS 4.x, which made
it unbearably slow, with horrible bugs in Mail.
The 4 is MUCH faster than the 3G, and the screen is beautiful on the 4.

trying to boot from a DVD). I managed to erase the hard disk, reinstall the OS,
and download all the software updates. All was fine for almost two days, but
now I am back to the kernel panics again.

Neil,
I use this product at home, although I didn't like having to fork out an
extra $299 just because Telstra forces you to use a USB modem. Once it is
all set up, however, you can configure your network as you wish.
I find that the modem itself needs to be rebooted from time to time
(sometimes
with a suggestion that the Aiport Extreme Base Station
might be an alternative...though I have no idea if it will work in
the same way as the Ethermax.

I am looking at replacing our antique photocopier at work. I was
thinking of getting a multifunction device that does:
- copying
- scanning
- printing
- maybe fax too
All these things are pretty low volume stuff. We also have a laser
printer for most printing needs.

Can anyone give me a subjective (or objective for that matter)
opinion on the sort of performance boost I'd get from going from an
800MHz G3 iBook to a 1.33GHz G4? There's 500MB RAM in the old one,
and I'd probably do the same in the new one.

I add a user, and all seems well (including the creation of the
user's
directories, etc), but the new user does not appear either in the
user list
in the accounts preferences pane, or when I use the login screen!
I've also
tried rebooting with no effect.

I use Eudora here at home with a POP3 setup.
I also have an account at work (Outlook). I could always run Eudora
at work (XP) if that makes things better / more reliable.
The problem seems to be even with some good forwarding filters I
don't always get / have access to important

I upgraded to Tiger and now when I try to launch Safari, it launches fine,
but asks for a password with the explanation: Safari wants to use keychain
login. It doesn't like any password that I enter, and if I click cancel, I
can continue to use Safari as normal.
Anybody have any idea
