I do training in PC's (I have to eat) but I have owned 5 Macs since 1985.
PC's are crap - Macs are a gift from heaven. But seriously, for new users
PC's are just so hard to use, they are unreliable, plug and play is a myth,
and the viruses and spyware etc make you mad and paranoid.
Yes Macs cost

MYOB (small business accounting software) uses the .dat suffix so it might

Hi,
This is a question related to a PC (sorry, I have to slum it sometimes).
Since I downgraded to XP I have been having problems with MS Access and I
have thought of formatting the hard drive and setting up 2 partitions with
operating system and applications on one and data files on the other.
Hi Muggers,
More ammo in the PC versus Mac war. I have had Macs for about 20 years but
have to slum it and use a PC a fair bit. I recently uprgraded to Windows
XP Professional which looks quite nice and a bit Mac like. But in order to
get the PC to use the external CD burner I had to install a
I have just bought an Iomega CD RW and installed the software. My imac 350
running OS9 does not see it. The burner does not appear on the desktop and I
suspect it might be a USB problem. The burner supports USB 1.1 and 2, but I
fear the iMac might be USB 1.0. How do I find out if it is 1.0 or 1.1

You are right - Apple do have a proud history of making great computers but
not wanting people to know about them. I have spent the day grappling with
MS Access on a PC so I KNOW that Apple make great computers! I'm back on my

At first I saw the side view and thought it was a new Gillette razor.
And not a mention of the G5 iMac design which is far more elegant.

I also use hostingshop and it costs me about $110 a year for hosting. I
can't remember what package I have but it suits my small business. But the
important part is their service. I recently had a problem getting email

Is there anyone out there interested in helping a Thai student with Object
Oriented Programming? He failed the unit last year and desperately wants to
pass this term. He lives in Parkwood (near Riverton). Email me or phone

Hi,
I have just finished a site which was designed on an iMac using Dreamweaver.
When I look at it on a PC the font size has been increased which really
upsets the layout. Is there any way of locking the font size so that it
can't be altered? The site is http://www.catalina.org.au
Thanks,
Peter
Hi,
I have a monitor from the PC which has died and been replaced. Is there
somewhere that recycles them? I feel a bit guilty just dropping it in the
bin.
TIA
