Does anybody on the list have any experience running an SSD under Snow Leopard
(10.6.8)? I am considering installing one into an old Mac Pro, and would like
to know if there are any pitfalls to watch out for. In particular, I have
heard that it is not a good idea to enable Trim with any SSD

Thank you to all who replied. I have decided to keep the software and
install it on an old machine that I keep for tinkering - but not on my
main computers just yet!
My main reason for doing so is that it touts the facility to control
virtual memory. VM seems to cause problems (on my

This machine spends quite a bit of time on the net.
I've had very little experience with the dark side, but I've read all

am nonetheless grateful for your suggestions, which have been filed away
in case the problem reoccurs.

Hello List,
I have just bought a USB Thumb Drive (formatted for MS_DOS) and would
like to be able to reformat it as HFS plus. The Thumb Drive shows up on
the desktop and the option to Erase Disk shows up in the Special menu in
the Finder, but this is not what I want. In the Drive Setup

Once upon a time there was a wonderful feature of Claris Works called
Publish and Subscribe. Does anybody know if AppleWorks can still do
this? Setup = OS 9.1 and AppleWorks 6.2.8.
