Dead eMacs

Hoping somebody has had a similar experience and I can save a few eMacs from landfill. These few machines will not start up. When the start button is pressed they make a clunk sound, but nothing more. I have replaced hard drives, RAM and battery to no avail. Any ideas for me before I salvage
