Hi Jewels,
I understand very well being caught up in urgent work, it's an occupational
hazard for many of us ;-)
Good to hear you were able to delete all the temp files, I was certain they
would be causing problems in iTunes.
If you have anymore issues with files not being able to be written t
Hi Ronnie
So sorry for my rudeness on not replying until now - have been caught up with
urgent work.
I did delete the temp files and since I have perhaps added 5 files into iTunes
- so far so good !! I had almost a gb of temp files.
Hopefully my iTunes will run okay again.
Once again, thank y
Hi Jewels,
Is iTunes working any better after you deleted all the Temp files as per my
previous reply?
Some temp files are caches for interrupted downloads for things you had
purchased that developed an error during media purchase downloads. That didn't
completely download properly.

Thanks Ronni,
No rush, I’m just grateful you are there to assist us all.
Have a great day

Hi Jewels,
I'm rushing out for the day so won't be able to help until later today.
But it sounds like you might have some old Library folders still in your
Home/Music/iTunes folder.
Temp Files from iTunes are created when the software cannot write to one or
more of the Library Files.

Thanks Ronnie,
I guess I’ll give it a go when next adding files - I did this earlier today
unfortunately. I will let you know how I get on.
iTunes is still stopping and starting when playing something on the Mac - any
remedy you can think of ?
In the iTunes Library I see a vast number of temp
Hi Jewels,
I think what Peter was saying is try my 2nd suggestion of the 3 ways to get
Files into iTunes I gave previously.
In iTunes

Thanks for the suggestion Pete.
I think what Ronni suggested was that I go to the iTunes folder / library,
locate the relevant folder and drop in directly ? I have numerous folders in
iTunes, each for the relevant subject or website podcast. It would take me
ages to do it that way I feel and
Jewels, this is a long shot. During the drag/drop process into iTunes, is it
possible your mouse is passing over a potential drop point (some other folder
on the way to the intended folder) that is making OSX jam up. If you do the
menu driven import method (Ronni suggested this below) that would
Many thanks for your email Ronni.
I have iTunes 12.6.2 installed - but would mention it was the update before
this one when I started experiencing the problems. Never a problem previously.
I log on to a website and download their latest interviews (of which I am a
subscriber) - no problem ther
Hi Jewels,
A) How are you trying to Add these MP3 files into iTunes?
You can add them to iTunes in many ways:
* Drop them—either grouped or in a folder—on the iTunes icon.
* Choose File > Add to Library (Command-O) and select files or folders.
*Drop them in the Automatically Add to iTunes fold
Hi
I have been having the following problem since doing one of the itune updates.
I download a number of talks from various sites I am a member of - basically
mp3s.
I do not have a problem downloading, but do when trying to transfer into
itunes. iTunes
freezes and usually I am unable to do a f
Thanks indeed Ronni!
Sorry about the power, hope it is back shortly for you. Windy here now, though
sunny, but good rain on the way for tomorrow and Sunday

You should now be ok then.
In iTunes 12.4.1.6 if you have Movies selected (not Music or TV shows in top
menu bar) you will then see in the Sidebar: Recently added, Movies, Genes, Home
Videos.
I have heaps of movies imported into iTunes for watching on AppleTV4.
I also have PLEX Media Server on m
Though I have done nothing except look in the Preferences file to see that Home
Sharing was correctly ON, Home Videos now appears in the sidebar again!
Yes, Home Sharing is on. The problem is that the items appear on Apple TV but
NOT on the iMac as they used to. Where have they gone? Oth

Hi Severin,
Check you have Home Sharing enabled in iTunes, iTunes is open, and your
computer is ON.
View Videos with Home Sharing
Once you’ve enabled Home Sharing, to access your iTunes movies from the Apple
TV, open the Computers app on the Home screen.
If you see an error message, be sure
I have a library of various movie items which I import into iTunes and view on
Apple TV. Access to this library on screen normally shows up. It has now
vanished. Items are still there on Apple TV. How do I get that lot to show
again?

Hi Colin - you've probably already had an answer for this, but go to
iTunes>Preferences.., click on the Playback icon, and deselect 'Crossfade
Playback' or adjust the number of seconds to your taste.
Cheers, Steven

Colin, have you checked the Crossfade Playback in the Playback
section of iTunes prefs? If so, unchecking will restore the gap.

Hi All,
Recently Itunes started playing the following song overlapping the
previous one i.e. no gap between songs.
I've looked and looked but can't find a way to adjust the gap between
songs (not talking about burning - just playing existing playlists)
Any help appreciated

I have just burnt an audio CD with Toast7 and given it a name. When
it mounts, iTunes gives it the name of the last CD I mounted and even
names the track the same as the track on the earlier one. It plays
correctly.
How do I make iTunes change its mind on the naming?
