I have done those deletions and today all seems well. It was the Mac OS X
that had the spinning beach ball, but that seems to have abated or my
anxiety has:-)

Delete that "rogue" address in Address Book.
The wrong TO: Address could only be coming from either your previous
recipients list or Address Book.
Those are the only two places it could generate from on a Mac.
If then the problem is solved, you should post a new thread to WAMUG

Raw Source was fine. Have sorted 'previous recipients' and also found a
"rogue" address in the address book.

Also open the message/messages that show the wrong TO: then go to
'View > Raw Source. Look for the TO: field and if the name doesn't
match yours, then the problem is on the sender's end, in which case
you shoul tell them

I have run Repair Permissions again today and the log appears identical to
the last one. My emails are once again showing the wrong name in the 'To'
line.
