Hi People who have been following this subject,
We have exhausted every way of making Mail Text larger, but please bear with me
just for one last response.
I have been annoyed for years with incoming mail from Windows Users showing
much smaller than other incoming mail.

Hi Ronni.
Thanks for that. It works a treat.
Now I won't get those forehead marks on the screen when I send emails home from
work
Thanks again.

You’re welcome Pete,
I understand, it has annoyed me for a long time.
I should make more time to solve my little problems… a certain person on this
list is always telling me to make time to do ‘My Stuff’ ;-)

Hi Alan,
That is correct behaviour as I mentioned below It should read as the keys
“Command - =“ because to type “+” you depress the shift key ;-))

Hi Ronni
Yes, I now read what you wrote. I had taken a different slant on your
response. I use the change font size commands all the time in Safari
without conscious effort, but from now on I will be quite confused if I need 2
or 3 keys!

Sorry Alan, I did not wish to confuse you.
I know I confuse myself sometimes with the way my lateral thinking mind works.
I don't alway make sense to myself... ;-))

Now I have more knowledge! INcoming email - use Command plus the +/= WORKS
OUTgoing emails Command plus +/= DOESN'T.
Does this matter? Probably not!

I've been following this thread and was a little puzzled, because the command
+ (or command = for the pedant) worked just fine in Mail.
Then I tried it again as I read through the thread (there's a case study for
NLP) and it didn't work.
It seems that if there is only one email in the thread,

Hi Bill,
The Keyboard shortcut is Command - Shift - +
Not Command - +

Hi Bill,
You are correct Bill; “Command - + “ works to make text larger
So does “Command - Shift - +” works to make text larger.
You might have “Command-+” set for some other keyboard sort cut perhaps?

To type = you don’t depress any key other than =
But Apple do say “Command - +” to enlarge Text?

I have no usage for command and + that I know of. It works fine in FireFox,
