just wanted to say that I agree that they are some
install files. I did a search for data*.cab files, and
came up with about 15 data1.cab and about 7 data2.cab files,
all in directories of programs that I installed, but most

Deb, I've recommended Windows Commander (now called "Total Commander")
from http://www.ghisler.com/ several times on this list. I don't know
if it will open your particular 'cab' files, but it does a good job on
all I've ever tried using it on.
