@Pigsonthewing it seems like both of the tools are currently working. Given
that they was marked as broken at the same time I'm guessing it might have been
a temporary issue with WMCS at the time.

So was thinking about moving the georeference data from Wikimaps Warper to
Commons or Wikidata a few years back the main options were:
- Wikidata statements for induvidual control points
- One Wikidata statement with a geometry data type (new at the time

Turns out this is also a problem within WDQS. When it comes to IDs and URIs
is there a reason for encoding this type of information in the first place
instead of leaving that to applications?

Worth noting is that this would make the template usages that pull data from
Wikidata incompatible with many of the map tools including Wikimaps Warper.

@Ottomata I see, I think the current SDC Captions implementations should behave very much as Labels on Wikidata. I'm currently not able to edit captions on beta. But one should soonish be able to do so at any file page:

From my perspective, there could be more than one alt-text per image and
language in the SDC data. It would then be up to consumers to select which
alt-text they would like to use.
