I remember the volleyball matches between '84 class members. James had
an advantage with his height, but it was the fire in his belly that
made him formidable. I played adequately (remember, bad hand-eye
coordination), but still made an effort to be on James' team. B)

Many congratulations, Robert. Thirty-five years. Has it really been
that long. I remember when you took over from your predecessor, a
competent but somewhat sluggardly fellow that just hadn't raised the
coverage of dramatic and concert arts up to the level they needed to
be at th Chronicle.
Great verse, Terry, and apt to Doc. Thanks for expanding my wee
knowledge of late nineteenth-century Scots poets. I'll search it out,
maybe memorize it, to sharpen my poor failing wits.
