What about phasing out support in X number of years?
If you look at the average (and I mean average) life of a student, it's
about 5 years (some of us take a little longer ;). Couple that with the
average life of a campus laptop, does anyone want to be using a 5 year old

Saw these guys at Educause...interesting technology...they had dual gigabit
ethernet uplinks with a/b/g upgradeable to n antennas. The interesting part is

We have ACS v4.0(1) Build 27 and have not heard any major issues with Vista.
I'm sure we have a few Vista users b/c we have heard issues with the Cisco WiSM
login page.

There is a Windows hotfix to allow windows PEAP clients to authenticate to
non-windows radius servers. Perhaps that is what you are running into?

pretty sure it was a result of searching the list archives) and I'm wondering
if anyone out there has adopted this method in practice.

I don't think the encryption type has anything necessarily to do with the O/S
or platforms supported. That has to do more with the supplicants available
(free or chargeable). I think the most important thing to consider is how easy
the encryption method is to deploy, for example, TLS requires
some ideas.
