Hi,
Is there any way to suppress the size in control panel
entry.Because,base installer is showing 469mb in my control panel
entry.When we are upgrading a patch I am deleting Only control panel
entry and replacing files.After installing a upgrading a patch now entry
is showing as 32 MB.For that
There are many ways to write itand I tried them all...
I just cannot get use to writing and saying this word..sorry...
I will stick to BA and MBA

Hi,
Is there a reason why you cannot use major or minor updates for your product?
Using MSP files to patch your product will show the correct product size and
there is no need to delete control panel entries.

It sounds like, rather than deleting ARP entries or using MSP, that you need
to use the MajorUpgrade element and set the scheduling so that
RemoveExistingProducts is scheduled after the install of the new version, to
preserve user data. but it would be wise to look at this blog.

Ok, how? Both launch actions, install and modify, are ignoring my
modifications.

internally set feature install states to local or absent.
