Simply rename the old one, so that it is still available for comparison.

I have it working again but I don't understand why.
I uninstalled two recent windows 8.1 updates - made no difference.
I made a fresh installation
currently using 1.20, but 1.18 or 1.19 work as well.
Yesterday or the day before, I noticed that some Windows update seemed
to briefly interfere with the connection to OmniRig. But that has since
resolved itself for me.

Hi Saku,
Thanks for the bug report. Should be fixed with the next release. Under
certain conditions, some special operating modes were not fully
initialized when WSJT-X was started in such a mode.

Perhaps also helpful to know: I recently did the same procedure with an

that HRD caused the crashes for him.

The installer comes already with the latest hamlib files. Only in case

Hi Tony,
As you already mentioned, this can have several reasons. My tip: If you
are working on Windows, just open the task manager in such a case. Most
likely, you will see a hanging wsjtx.exe or jt9.exe process. Close this
process manually and WSJT-X should start again.

VFO B is “0 Hz” for about half a second. Then the correct frequency is set.
These abnormalities were not there a few weeks ago. Anyone else of the FT-991 /
FT-991a users observing the same?

Hi Tobi,
I am also using a FT-991. Maybe before we write long emails: Do you have
TeamViewer and are you available via Skype or Google Meet or so? If yes,
please send me a private email and I will try to help you get it working.

unintentional continuous transmissions. The function has worked well for my own
WSJTX fork for 1.5 years now. It is based on repeated user requests. And I have
also received several "thank you" emails from other OMs who had sometimes
accidentally sent 1 hour or so in the past.
Then let's make it switchable. The majority of users will certainly find a
Tune watchdog useful and want to have it activated, but those who don't
like it can then simply switch it off. Good solution.

Well, basically it is no problem to make a checkbox to deactivate such a TUNE
