Hi Jim,
Your admonition isn’t appropriate in this case. WSJT-X actually greyed out the
relevant messages so they couldn’t be selected.

If I may butt in with an input from the general user base … PLEASE don’t do
ANYTHING that sacrifices sensitivity. That’s the whole POINT of the weak
signal modes. I assert that any use of them that requires modifying them
resulting in reducing their sensitivity is an inappropriate use of them
Coming up on two years with a Flex 6600 (SmartSDR starting at 2.4.9 running
straight through each update to the current 3.1.12) with (other than the
endless Flex software bugs) just the usual issues regularly reported and fixed.
And a small amount of time before that with a Yaesu FTdx9000D and S
I ABSOLUTELY agree with this.

I’m not sure this is related but just in case...
I’m have something like the inverse of this problem. On transmit, the output
level suddenly becomes very erratic. It may stay like that for minutes or just
a few cycles. When it won’t stop, I restart WSJT-X (and JTAlert) and all is
well. I’m
ty some time.

Had this same problem yesterday as well (different station). Very
frustrating...

This is a forum for a “Mensa” person to brag about being a “Mensa” person.
Nothing more. As you would expect, no content, just BS.

I also see this infrequently with my Flex 6600 (v2.4.9) & Win 10 (1803)
connected via CAT/DAX. Can’t correlate it with anything. I usually let the
cycle pass and it works fine on the next one.

Hello, I have WSJT-X (v1.9.1) set up with my Yaseu FTdx9000 to operate full
(not “fake") split and it works great. WSJT-X seems to always listen on the A
side and set Tx on the B side (no matter how it’s set initially) and moves the
B side Tx freq around in a logical way.
I’m not sure how to
