Anyway spamassassin is very cpu/ram/disk intensive on
any system and the new 3.xx has increased that.
You should run spamd on a separate server even on linux.

You are right Davide, it would make senese only if next
generation of spamming software will use that trick.
BTW, are you planning to share those lame IPs in a client/

Maybe a better solution would be just don't care.
Severs like sendmail and qmail will not stop when a MAIL FROM=20
cmd has

I'm a big fan of frisk software, I use it since 1990, but they
are obviously putting more effort into f-secure than f-prot and
probably this is going to get worse in the future.

Hi
I agree with every point Davide.
I would just add that well implemented multiple spamd hosts is an efficient
solution used on very large mail servers.
I think the major problem is when you have it all done by one server (mail,
spamc/spamd, web, dns ).
Ciao
Dario
Look SA is slow everywhere
And maybe substitute or give hints about some of these:
bl.spamcop.net
ipwhois.rfc-ignorant.org
dsn.rfc-ignorant.org
opm.blitzed.org.
dnsbl.sorbs.net
dnsbl.njabl.org
I don't know wich works best but I'm shure they are free as spamassassin
uses them as default.
