Greetings,
Just for the record, it might interest you to know that you might want
to get a domain name and run a local DNS on your box. Some ppl will block
mail comming from (*)DSL IP's. That is to say; they don't want to recieve
mail from ppl's desktop computers. Since *so* many spamming
domains are registered
with another ISP than Telecom (interbusiness), and with them i can
access to the DNS table (in fact i set all my mx record to my ugly
IP). Can i operate in DNS to resolve this orrible inefficence of Telecom??

Greetings all,
I couldn't agree with you more on ALL counts. I hate to sound like
a me too. But I/ we host a few black lists (RBL's). So I thought
that it seemed the most likely resolution would be to check with
the problem domains (hotmail, earthlink) and see who they are using
as an RBL.
Greetings all,
I was able to resolve my earlier issue with connection/ management.

could make a/ some suggestion(s). I'd be *very* greatful. The only
one I see

Is there any way to instruct Xmail to listen for commands
on port 6017? The *only* way I seem to be able to communicate
with it, is @ the comand prompt (a local terminal). I have it
installed, it is happliy accepting mail. But I have an *extremely*
difficult time managing it. Any
that can connect to the
server.
shameless_plug_for_myself And if you have a windows desktop, use can use
XMLE to manage it locally or remotely through a graphical use interface.

Hello,
On all of my machines, I create an alias
in the /etc/mail/aliases for root to another
account. Then all reports are automatically sent
to the alias (this is on a sendmail mail system).
I haven't been able to get XMail to work yet on
the Win2k box I'm trying to use it on. You, of
