like guru (or you don't care about
screwing up your package manager) this isn't a problem. If you're a
newbie, you should definately avoid this - it will cause headaches in
the future.

If it was Mandrake I'd be concerned you were trying to do something
crazy like start Gnome/KDE/Enlightenment. You should think twice about
running anything more complicated than fvwm over an ISDN link. Have you
tried the same experiment with an Xsession
ML doesn't have that quality.
Agreed big time. The current format is great for cranking out configs
for hardware that I don't have on hand. For example, a friend once
needed a CVS version of XFree86 but had never built it. I was able to
crank out a config for him and he could then b

I played with this for a bit when I read that mail as well. I think the
original poster indicated the acceleration was exponential. I agree it
go too fast very quickly. I'd think about trying some small polynomial
curves and perhaps a logarithmic (though that might be too slow)

. It has a DIN connector on the back labeled "Serial". The manual
only mentions it to say it's not used. It looks like it might be an S-Video
connection. Anyone know what this does and why it's there?
