Craig, Gerrit, Pete, and Bernhard - Thanks for your help!

My problem was indeed that sshd was not installed. I tried bringing up
with "chkconfig sshd on" but that didn't seem to work. The thing that did
work was going into /etc/init.d/ and doing "sshd start".

The install program gave me no hint that it didn't install sshd or telnet.
Perhaps its a bonheaded way to view things - but when I saw during the
install the firewall tool (under customize) that showed ssh, telnet, etc...
as services - I thought that meant that they will be installed.

As an aside:
I also noticed that linuxconf is not used - and i saw a message about it
being deperacated. So will be its substitute?
I noticed that there's "setup" for some firewall config, networking. From
below - there's chkconfig - which is new to me. Is there some
linuxconf-like program that tells you what's available - sys admin wise?

Eli
