linuxconf is indeed on one of the 2 binary cd's but it has the ability
to really trash things like your sendmail.cf file.

best not to use it.

if it is a 'server install' - i.e. no Xwindows then I would definitely
recommend webmin

if it is an installation with Xwindows - there are a number of different
tools that are installed in the GUI but I don't generally use them. I am
slowly learning where/how to edit the conf files in /etc  -   /etc/mail 
- /etc/httpd  - /etc/sysconfig    with just a text editor like vim or
emacs.
