I happen to be looking at Linux as well (we're in the testing stage now), 
but the answer to your question is that you're supposed be using SUS 
(Software Update Server, the free version) or SMS (Systems Management 
Server, the pay version).  If you don't like either of those, I'm sure you 
could script a solution using the new auto update feature in the control 
panel, or even ghostcast a new image out to all your machines.
