This is right from the SUS homepage: " Microsoft Software Update Services (SUS) is designed to greatly simplify the process of keeping Windows-based systems up-to-date with the latest critical updates. SUS enables administrators to quickly and reliably deploy critical updates to their Windows 2000-based servers as well as desktop computers running Windows 2000 Professional or Windows XP Professional."
Again Win 2000 and XP. win 98 end users left in the dust. As for linux, I have servers running all over the joint :) AS for ghostscripting and such. Oh I'll write a script to update! I just need to darn update! I emailed the support support. Will see what happens. The MS dance continues. -----Original Message----- From: Chris Berry [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, October 02, 2002 12:58 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: MS02-052 coporate install file??(q329077) I happen to be looking at Linux as well (we're in the testing stage now), but the answer to your question is that you're supposed be using SUS (Software Update Server, the free version) or SMS (Systems Management Server, the pay version). If you don't like either of those, I'm sure you could script a solution using the new auto update feature in the control panel, or even ghostcast a new image out to all your machines. >From: Chris Santerre <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Microsoft is driving me nuts again! >Flaw in Microsoft VM JDBC Classes Could Allow Code Execution (Q329077) >The coporate update site is retired.
