I think our alternators are rated at 70 amps and how long you can run things
would certainly depend on the capacity of the battery. Not sure about the
capacity of the OEM Nissan battery under my hood but it should say so in
amp/hr. Also, i think the alternator output is rated at WOT? Most car
alternators I've seen seem to top out at 60 amps at full throttle.

I'm guessing you just want power during a brown out or something? How fast
the alternator can replenish the charge in the battery would depend on the
kind of load you put on it so I can't say for sure.

I'd start looking at the back of the appliances you want to run and see how
much wattage they eat up.  Then I'd try to figure out how much your charging
system can supply.
