Probably you'd be better off buying a generator. The fridge plus lights
alone would be close to a kilowatt. Fridge takes 750+ watts (accounting for
peaks at startup) and the PC plus monitor can take another few hundred. So
at this level you're talking over 80 amps from alternator. Which is a lot
to ask from a stock alternator. Throw in the lights and a television and
now you're pushing 100 amps. A 4kW generator, on the other hand, runs less
than 800 bucks. Do whatever you want, but remember to figure startup
currents into your budget or you'll not only be out of power, you won't be
able to use the car, either.

Yeah i thought of the cigarette lighter issue, but the heavy duty inveters
connect directly to the battery not the lighter.
Yes I am aware that the altenator is what generates power :-) wich is why i
asked how fast it can do it. Also it used to be a
generator in the really old cars.
I dont plan to run the whole house on it, just a few key appliences
(refrigirator, lights, pc ...)
