yeah, we are using Jconnector 3.0.9 and trying to get some real numbers for james. We will share it with you all as soon as we have them.
We are trying to find the optimal parameters for James at heavy load: 1) Threads spool/outgoing 2) Max database connections 3) As suggested by Noel, we have kept maxcache to be at 250
For the current setup we are using two server running james. We bombard server1 with around 4000 mails/min. Server1 then processes the mails and forwards then to server2. Server2 ghosts the mails. After a timed run, we note the total number of mails sent to server1 and the number of mails in the spool of server1.
Can there be any other parameter that needs to be looked upon to get the required result.
Thanks
Sudip

As I recall, you were doing some fairly hefty load testing. Are you reporting that:
- Using JDBC repositories - <maxcache> at 250 - Connector/J v3.0.9
were the steps that allowed your load testing to succeed? Can you report your current figures?
