Core Servlets has *excellent* sample code, which you really can use in your own
applications (the code's license permits this). Indeed, you can download the sample
code from java.sun.com (search for the book's title to get to the sample code).
I've just ordered Java Servlet Programming, which unfortunately is on back order.
I'll let you know if it cuts the mustard.
You're probably best sticking to Core Servlets, since it is a very recent book, while
the O'Reilly book is two years old now.
Wrox books used to be the best computer books out there, with no exceptions. Now,
however, they have totally lost the plot, and with no prospect of a change for the
better. It saddens me, since Wrox caused a change for the better in the computer book
market, but now their competitors have the edge.
