Andy again:

It appears that who ever is infected with the VBS Happytime virus is still posting
messages to the list, as it has showed up in my logs again. I'd suggest everyone
(EVERYONE!) check and make sure it hasn't run on their system!
Also there is obviously someone who has not been keeping up with their Windows
Security updates, as the virus has run on their system, and this update is nearly

Here's a link (again) with info on how to find out if it has run on your system, for those
of w/o antivirus proggies:

The registry entry is the easiest to check for and most damning one. A removal tool

It means that some bozo who doesn't know how to use an antivirus program
has infected the list.

I'll note that if you only found it in your temp files, it appears it did not actually run
on your system, just let your antivirus program either delete or cleanse the files,
and you should be fine.

If you're running a antivirus program and it's updated, it should be able to cleanse the file.
I also run Inoculate, and it took care of it handily. Not too nasty a virus, more a nuisance.
If your system (windows box, obviously) has Windows Updates to last May or so, you
should be just fine.

If you'd like more info keep posting, I'll be online for quite a while yet and I'm willing to
answer any questions.
