It is annoying to learn that MS Outlook Express under "tools"/"options" I clearly set "plain text" for email and news, yet despite that, when I replied to emails and then checked "Format" I find that it is responding in "HTML" in some cases! How on Earth can one win with this kind of confusion? Thanks Ablemonk for advising to check "Format" ... I guess I need to check "Format" with every email? Al
