[ I've Bcc'ed tools-discuss as sfwnv-discuss seems more germane and to
avoid yet another email storm. ]

Screen is definitely something I've heard requests for although
strangely enough, I can't find any open bug/RFEs on it.
>From a perspective of making the system more familiar, I do think
including sudo makes sense even though RBAC is much better integrated
into the system. There is an open RFE
6419553 sudo-like behavior for accessing roles
although it's unclear to me if addressing that will address the issue.
And I'm sure that Darren and others in the security arena have comments
on how sudo may or may not fix into the OpenSolaris security
architecture. I would suggest asking over at security-discuss.
Top includes some additional data that the bundled prstat(1M) doesn't
currently print but the latter is far more efficient and again, better
integrated with other OpenSolaris technology such as primitives such as
tasks, projects, zones, etc. Given that the top currently shipped with
(some?) GNU/Linux distributions differs from "classic" top from William
LeFebvre, I would prefer our implementing top in terms of prstat
perhaps with some compatibility option.
I believe that gls, gdf and dir are already covered by

Stephen Hahn recently sent out a code review for this proposed

There are plans to include gawk at some point although there isn't yet
a case filed on that.
Which "torque" are you referring to? The resource manager?
Curl is also already covered by a case

Stefan Teleman is working on that integration.
