That's the way it works for me too - but here's another twist!
Say I have TWO of those beasties in the same box Apparently I cannot do
anything to distinguish between them (I cannot even say that eth0 is the
one at 0x280 and eth1 is the one at 0x290)
At startup - it seems to take its pick as to which one is which.
Errrrr!!!
