Although they are ISA, I still think it has a bearing on which card is which. I am
using an old mini tower case with a 100Mhz Pentium Mother board.
ETH1 has the following settings:
MAC of 00:60:08:37:1E:15
INT 5
Base 0x210
ETH0 has the following settings:
MAC of 00:20:AF:D5:53:AD
INT 10
Base 0x300
Although both cards are 3c509's one (eth1) has an AUI connector.
I am convinced that when I had them around the other way, the ETH1/0 switched. ETH1 is
in the bottom slot. If I am wrong, then it looks like the MAC may be the deciding
parameter.

The only problem with that theory is that the 3C509 cards are ISA not PCI.
