replies. I the warning bell was saying something about the glue needing
elasticity and that the epoxy would not have this. As for my memory, I too,
did wood head and wooden shaft work in the past. I replaced a few
hickory shafts and assembled quite a few wooden headed clubs which I finished
myself. I also had a little specialty, I took raw wooden putter heads, drilled
out a round divot into the top of the head and glued a miniature shield into
it. Then I would put a clear epoxy fill on top of the shield. Then
I would stain and finish the head. A hickory shaft and a leather wrap
grip would finish the job. I made over one hundred of them before I
became hard to get unfinished heads and hickory shafts. It made for nice
retirement gifts. Thanks again for the replies. Now to the
