"I couldn't get enough 'bite' on the
shaft to remove the Titleist 983 thru-bore heads". This is
my only problem with this puller, I purchased the
puller in 10/2002, could this be one prior to the new clamp? Aside from that the
puller is a very good tool.

Puller
I'll
second that - I purchased one of the initial production run of the puller that
has the pivoting shaft clamp. Although I can't remember which parts were
specifically issues, I couldn't get enough 'bite' on the shaft to remove the
Titleist 983 thru-bore heads. RK quickly re-machined the clamp using
larger parts and sent them out in a day or two. I think he
applied the heavier clamp to production models after this. Bottom line
is that his service is A-1 and he stands behind the product
100%.

I own a Kennedy puller. Its a fine piece of
equipment. Somehow I was able to screw it up by stripping out the threads on
the shaft clamp. I contacted RK. He chewed me out (electronically) and then
sent replacement parts. I'm trying to pay him for the parts. So far to no
avail.
If this is the way he wants to do business
then . . . ah hell. If anyone's in the market for a shaft puller. Get a
Kennedy. The man is a helluva designer/manufacturer.
Get the puller from John Muir or from RK. But
don't say I sent you.
He may hurl vile invective at me
;-)

THANKS RK, YOU DA
MAN!
