Yes, I would like a copy of the paper. Those are some long drivers (46 to
50-inches). Clearly they were looking at the implications of a 48" length
limit. It's not entirely clear what a category 1 golfer is but I suspect
it ain't like most of us.
Thanks,

Hi guys,
I recently came across this article -
<http://www.informaworld.com/smpp/content~content=a902510569~db=all~order=page>http://www.informaworld.com/smpp/content~content=a902510569~db=all~order=page
and I thought Id offer it up for discussion as I know one or two of you
feel quite passionately about the topic! As I am unable to attach a PDF
copy of the full paper here (list server doesnt allow it), please email me
back if you are interested and I will forward you a copy by return.
Id be interested in hearing you comments. On the face of it, the results
seem to offer support for limiting golf shafts to 48(note the last author
is the Director of Research and Testing for the R&A). However, there may
be some methodological issues with the different driver setups (e.g., bend
profiles and swingweight not controlled for, etc.) and also isnt a >300 Hz
shaft frequency a little excessive for an S flex?
Best wishes,
