I use the same CD trick, I think I learned it from Arnie.
I like to drop a golf ball from the golfers eye and see where it contacts the
floor.
Most people I fit they are playing too long a putter and their eyes are not
over the ball.

Subject: RE: ShopTalk: Putting Training Aid

That's a great point.

And there are training aids for that, too.

One of the best and cheapest is a plain old CD. (I don't remember
where I first saw this. Might have been one of your posts, TFlan.)

Take a CD that you don't ever want to play again. (Like rap, or yet
another AOL subscription.) Put it on a flat, level piece of ground,
reflective side up. (Level is important.) Place a golf ball in the
center hole of the CD. Now address the golf ball with your putter.
You will be able to see the reflection of your face in the CD. Your
eye line should be through the ball. It is easy to see if your eyes
are inside or outside the ball.

Cheers!
