No, but I think the same could be effected by uniquely naming chains so that two of the same chain can be installed at the same time (i.e. current and new), and then just changing a redirection from the current chain to the new one. One could then lazily clean up what was current (and is now old). Yes? I'm not sure how "elegant" that is, but it seems doable. b.
