I think the that most of the team doesn't care that much about stability of
unstable (I haven't asked them). For stable images we have testing.
The problem is, that there is currently no one taking care of testing. But i
think that after Tim Abell has offered his help for this, we will see some new
testing images soon :)
I think that stabilizing unstable is impossible. Because there are too many
(at least 4) moving parst and we can influence just 1 (our own software).
Of course the definition of "soon" in this case may be a little
stretched :-)
I'm committed to getting there but I'm still quite a long way off being
a useful maintainer, and sadly my two weeks off has ended so it's back
to stealing hours from real life here and there.
I'm keeping my notes at
http://www.shr-project.org/trac/wiki/ShrMaintainerHowTo if anyone is
interested, and hopefully by the time I actually manage to do any
releases that will be a complete guide to replacing me should I fall off
the interwebs for some reason.
And of course I won't complain if someone beats me to it!
:-)
Tim Abell
