Janet,

Have you studied the intestinal tracks of dogs? The reason I feed a raw diet is I want all grains out of the diet since their intestinal track is not designed to deal with grains. I live in a rural area and feed prey method to my dogs. None get are exposed to any chemicals here at home. I cannot afford to feed the dogs organic but would if I could. But I do feed only human grade food.

Have you ever seen any dog raid a grain, corn or rice field? I haven't and the dogs on the farm I grew up on never did. What I don't get are the people who try to feed veggies and go through all the effort to juice or cook them so the dogs can digest something that they are not designed for.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss of pups. From your post I assume your bitch had eclampsia which could kill the bitch but what was the cause of the pups death? I feel it is very important to study the diet of wolves and feed dogs accordingly.

Sorry but I feel that valid comparisons have been in the wild for many years and that can not be considered anecdotal information.

My new profession is speaking at seminars teaching Natural Rearing. I do this so that people can learn how to feed a raw meaty bones diet correctly to avoid as many problems as they can. I also introduce them to not vaccinating etc.

I don't trust the AFCO or any kibble manufacturer and haven't for many years since I found out about them using pets that were euthanized in pet food. They are only another industry who to make a profit uses the cheapest materials they can buy to use in manufacturing pet food.

Funny but we tend to watch the show "How it's made" every time they show a food product I am sickened. I don't buy much in the way of processed food for us to eat as I love to cook from scratch.
