I agree with what you're saying but what else do you lok for if you want
to avoid pesticides?
You do have a point. I don't think I said, Don't buy organic or don't
eat organic food. It is likely your best bet if you can get it, and the
quality measures up.
I use very little to zero chemicals and sprays on my plants.
Some are safer than others.
I will watch my plants become diseased and die rather than spray.
This is why I plant 50 to 100 times more than I need.
One year I planted 14 varieties of cantaloupes. Only one variety
made any cantaloupes.
Some of the chemicals are non toxic. Once an old gardener would put his
finger in a bottle of worm killer, and then lick his finger.
Some of the horror stories about chemicals are exaggerated, like most other
articles we read.
Sorting out the News, Truth, and Lies is not easy.
Not sure if I posted the link to pictures of my crops this year.
They have grown a lot since these were made.

I reduced the file size of these pictures two times. They are still a bit
large for dial up connections. ( 150 to 175 K each )
Allow 20 to 30 seconds for each to load on slow connections.
