When I had shingles, I used CS every hour and topically, plus 1000mgs l-lysine twice a day. It cleared it up in just over a week. I also used to get 'stabbing' nerve pains in all sorts of places, but used the l-lysine and it has now gone altogether (hopefully) Dee
