I did do this when it first happened, and indeed, the doctors called it 
transient ischemic attack' but a lot of the symptoms didn't fit i.e. He didn
t lose consciousness or even nearly, and also, the treatment (aspirin) had
an adverse effect.  This is why I don't think it is caused by clots, but by
weak blood vessel walls.  Thank you for your input.  Dee

Falling over with no warning sounds like syncope and that could be caused by
a number of things which Google could probably enumerate.    Faith G.
