Re mental activation of endorphins;

The technique was bio-feedback and self hypnosis,mostly bio..
Sensors were placed on the body in various locations similar to EEG testing.On the forehead for endorphins.These pick-ups were connected to an electronic receiver and a tone was generated in ear 'phones,also a digital meter showed the pulsing.You had to concentrate on the sound and by breathing deeply and forcing yourself to relax you could slow the rate of the tone pulse.Eventually it was possible to seem to be floating on air and all body sensations were gone. This took a number of sessions before you could reach this state of euphoria [Endorphins]. Once you were able to do this,then the ear 'phones and machine were not needed. Depending where you placed the sensors on the skin ,you could raise or lower your body temp.,and slow your heart rate if it was too fast,lower BP,etc.
This I can do to this day and that treatment was 30+ years ago.
Draw back: It became so easy to do I would drift into this state at the most inappropriate times as it can become addictive.I had to work to control this habit as it was not smart to let it get away;think about it.
Best to all.
Harold

After an Industrial accident I was sent to a clinic where I learned how to mentally activate Endorphins .This has been a blessing over the years as there was no hope of surgical intervention to repair the damage.
Best to you all,

Harold, were you trained using a biofeedback technique?
