Morning Sharon M,

I read you message with interest and it got my attention for sure.

However, there is another side to the coin.

I will not quote from your message, as most points are crystal clear.

The article used Bromine, in several places, with compound names in others.

To see anything evaluated by misuse, overuse, and not all the uses, seems unfair to me.

Bromine and boron are plant nutrients and occur in nature. How could it be ALL BAD ?

Of course then man comes along, and muddies up the water. That is nothing new.

I would suspect that any or most of my plant nutrients, if used improperly, excessively, or applied to the skin, used in tooth paste, or sprayed into the eyes, could be a disaster.

But I have seen my dog drink them, and I have too.

It gets back down to the nasty term, ppm ! <grin>
And I have no meter, I calculate them.

Some forms of Bromine are deadly, explosive, and used for igniting rocket fuel, ....... I think.

Several chemical and compounds are interesting indeed.

One specifically, you can paint on your window sill and watch the files light on it.

Guess what happens ? They blow up !

Not sure if a chigger would do it but a tick might.

One does not want to monkey around with some of these, unless he is knows what he is doing, is
brave or foolish.

That is why it is much safer to eat raw foods and living creatures. Generally, they have already sorted out the chemicals for us.

This includes most snakes, lizards, and insects.

But don't eat any Cobra liver, as it might kill you.

It is a good thing, I am not a chemist, I might be a Mad Scientist.

Wayne
