I have noticed that people who purchased the colloid master tend to really like it. When I was doing my research and comparisons, before I bought my first generator I looked thoroughly into the silvergen SG-6, the silverpuppy, and the colloid master (at both sites it was being sold from back then, under two different names as I recall. I have both the silvergen and a silverpuppy (now upgraded to the magnetic stir) and am happy with both.

I guess it is obvious I was underwhelmed by the colloid master, unimpressed by the sales hype and the CS info at their (then) 2 sites. Maybe if I had bought one I'd have liked it and been as fanatic about it as Tel is about his, but I'll never know............. I can say I have purchased flat silver electrodes from them and was happy with the service on that order. In general I much prefer round silver wire electrodes over the flat ones. I have used round wire electrodes on my SG-6 (comes with flat electrodes), and bought the half inch flat ones to try eventually, when the wire ones are used up. One of the things that caused me NOT to purchase the Colloid Master is the fiddly thing of having alligator clips that have to be attached to the electrodes which just hang on the sides of the brew jar. I like a closed unit, with the electrodes plugged directly into the gen which then sits on top of the brew container and thus doesn't require a lid. With cats in the house and an open container, they'd be drinking out of it while it was brewing, LOL, and they'd probably spill things and trip over the wires from the alligator clips to the control box too. Don't bother telling me my cats should not be allowed on the counters, Cats don't need permission, they just do what they do..................

So far as I can tell, which generator one decides to purchase is a matter of personal opinion, based on how one reacts to the machines descriptions, photos, testimonials, etc, and also based on how one reacts to the CS info and sales pitch on the sales sites.

I have no desire to purchase a colloid master at this point just to compare it with my current generators as I am perfectly satisfied with both. I like having 2 gens, and both are usually running at once, but have to say, for my needs and space constraints, 3 would be overkill, LOL.
